Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
This Part-Time Academic will be fully responsible for the teaching and grading of one section of THEA 3602.03 Playwright in the Theatre B, from January 1 – April 30, 2024 (Winter Term). The position scope may include supervision of workshop rehearsals, readings, and/or performances of playwriting students’ work, which may require some evening or weekend work. It may also involve the organization and coordination of guest lectures, masterclasses and seminars over the course of the class. This position reports to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
MA, MFA or equivalent in Theatre, Drama or related discipline, and/or substantial professional experience as a playwright. Previous experience of teaching playwriting at a university level is an asset, as is evidence of strong teaching effectiveness.
