Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
Part-Time Academics are required to teach Applied Study in the trumpet, percussion, organ and harp from September 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024 (Fall and Winter Term). Duties include but are not limited to teaching weekly individual lessons and weekly group performance and/or ensemble sessions; grade submission as per approved guidelines; provision of a Method of Assessment; coordination of student ensemble requirements; adjudication at Mid-Term and Final Juries in their idiom, as well as third-year and graduation recitals. Small ensemble coaching may be assigned as needed. These positions report to the Director of the Fountain School of Performing Arts.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Music; significant professional experience in performance; proven successful pedagogical experience in the instructor’s instrument; excellent communication skills; computer literacy.
