About the opportunity
The Faculty of Agriculture invites applications for a six-month term contract at the rank of Instructor commencing January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, inclusive. The Department of Business and Social Sciences is one of four departments in the Faculty of Agriculture. The Department has a nationally recognized unique strength in agribusiness education and research, as well as education and research in applied and agricultural economics. Agriculture in today’s world is an interesting and challenging industry where you can have a real impact. Our unique programs combine the core disciplines of agricultural sciences with business management and innovative technology. Applicants must have:
  1. Experience teaching either at a college or university level
  2. Availability to be on campus in Truro, Nova Scotia Monday to Friday during the term of the contract
Preference will be given to applicants who have a CPA designation and an MBA or Masters with a relevant concentration area. Preference will also be given to those who have knowledge and/or experience in agriculture or food business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the organization, preparation, delivery and student assessment for four to five in person courses in Accounting, Financial Management and Management, which may include lectures, labs, and/or tutorials. Course assignments will be made by the Department Chair and may vary depending on departmental needs and other duties.
