About the opportunity
The School of Health Administration in Dalhousie’s Faculty of Health invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time tenure stream faculty position at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on the candidate. Exceptional cases at the Professor level may be considered.

Applicants must hold a PhD in health administration or a related field. Applicants must have demonstrated expertise or specialization in health administration (for example, health services and policy, project management, data management & analytics, organizational behaviour, management and planning, patient safety and quality). Evidence of contribution to scholarship and teaching is required. Expertise of the candidate must be supported by an excellent scientific publication record, commensurate for career stage, and research plan. One to two years of postdoctoral experience is preferred. The incumbent will have demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching in areas that complement our teaching program, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.

The successful candidate is expected to secure extramural research funding, including national tri-council funding, and lead an innovative and collaborative research program aimed at applying their expertise to improve health and health systems. This position complements faculty renewal and creates interprofessional teams to support the School and Faculty research strategy to develop a collaborative, supportive and efficient research infrastructure. The School of Health Administration Research Enterprise (SHARE) is advancing research and scholarship in the areas of health services, management and policy research, population health, health equity, and knowledge mobilization.
