Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The School of Nursing is now accepting applications for Clinical Instructor positions in the summer term of year 2024 which runs from May 6 – July 26, 2024.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: Instructors are responsible for teaching and supervising a group of BScN students who provide direct client care in clinical settings, work in a clinical skills and simulation lab or tutorial group setting. Tasks include but are not limited to lab demonstrations, marking and proctoring term tests and final examinations as well as evaluating assignments.

Access to a computer (no tablet/iPad/phone) with working internet to run Microsoft Teams for online meetings and instruction is required. Clinical Instructors will report to the instructor of record for their course and work under the protection of CUPE Collective Agreement 3912 – Dalhousie University. COMMUNITY TEACHER/TUTORIAL INSTRUCTOR:
Not to exceed 110 hrs.
Weekly tutorials: Thursdays a.m. May 9 – July 11 plus one full week Community Clinical (July 15-19)

Qualifications/Requirements of Position
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, an active RN license with the NS College of Nurses, as well as two years of recent clinical experience is required. Clinical teaching experience (which may include preceptorship of staff or students) is essential.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
