Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) is dedicated to a constructive, team-orientated environment, gathering varied perspectives, sharing knowledge, and building effective partnerships that enable our partners to achieve their goals by advising, providing solutions, and delivering service excellence in alignment with the University’s mission and goals. Reporting to the Manager, SharePoint Services, the Power Platform Developer is responsible for undertaking assignments relating to the development of applications and processes in Microsoft Power Platform and consulting and advising on services in the areas of indirect responsibility relating to Microsoft Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, and deploys custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Collaborates with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and understand business processes.
  • Creates and maintains data models, workflows, and dashboards within Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Investigates solutions collectively in areas of overlapping functions with other team members within ITS. Liaises, plans and coordinates activities with other team members within ITS.
  • Advises and lends expertise to personnel within projects and client areas.
  • Maintains full technical knowledge of all phases of programming activities, maintains technology expertise, keeping current with evolving systems analysis, programming and database technology.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field plus a minimum of five years of related experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Query for data transformations.
  • Experience required with Microsoft Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, and connectors.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, and using the Power Platform suite to extend the functionality of these tools.
Assets
  • Knowledge of system administration and configuration of the Power Platform environment.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Javascript.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and generative AI.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Certification (e.g., Power Platform App Maker, Power Platform Functional Consultant).
