Job Summary
The Department of Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) within the Faculty of Medicine, delivers an informative and challenging curriculum for the undergraduate and master’s students enrolled in the Medical School, which will prepare them for the next stage of their medical education. Reporting to the UGME Assessment Specialist,
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and delivery of data collection for written and laboratory examinations and advise coordinators and unit heads on examination development best practices and standards. Maintain UGME protocols for exam delivery.
  • Provide organizational and analytical support to strategic project work as directed by Accreditation review recommendations, Committee on the Assessment of Student Performance (CASP),and Faculty strategic plan.
  • Manage curricular objectives within the online curriculum mapping tool to support ongoing development and refinement of the UGME curriculum map.
  • Attends, supports, presents, and co-leads at the Exam Review Committee (ERC) meetings. Acts on behalf of the Assessment Specialist at meetings when the Assessment Specialist is away.
  • Data analysis and reporting in collaboration with various stakeholders. Produce and disseminate reports of examination results for review by the UGME Assessment Specialist, Unit and Component Heads, CASP, Senior Leadership.
  • Within the three distributed learning sites, acts as lead advisor and training developer for all exam coordination processes. Develops training guides for all examination processes and provides NSGEU employees training.
Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in management, mathematics, statistics or a relevant field, plus three years in a related role (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Competence in working across various data management platforms and software applications.
  • Sound working knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in software packages, including EXCEL, SPSS, Adobe Professional, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities under strict deadlines.
  • Must be organized, adaptable, tactful, and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Given the nature of the position, strong interpersonal and written communication skills are imperative.

  • Progressively responsible and related experience, preferably in a clinical or medical education environment, including supervisory responsibilities.
